Discharge of Ecological Conditions

Local Planning Authorities will often request certain ecological documents as a condition of the planning permission.

Examples of these include:

Construction Ecological Management Plans (CEcMPs)
Ecological Enhancement Strategies
Wildlife Friendly Lighting Strategies

These can generally produce at any time of the year. Tom Haley Ecology will work with the project managers, architects, lighting engineers and landscape architects as required to ensure conditions are met in a timely manner.

Desk Based Constraints and Opportunities Assessments

Desk Based Ecological Constraints and Opportunities Plans can be used as a iterative tool with the design team to provide early ecological input and inform the overall design process.

These are best undertaken at feasibility stages of a project to ensure the mitigation hierarchy is followed throughout the proposed development.

Desk based ECOP’s aim to identify likely ecological constraints within the site and how best to avoid areas of higher ecological value and ensure they are protected, or where necessary compensate accordingly.

As Suitably Qualified Ecologists, Tom Haley Ecology can assist you to achieve the required credits, by advising on the ecological impact of your project and working within the design to maximise credits available.

In order to assist the assessment, we are also able to provide the necessary Biodiversity Net Gain assessments and Ecological Management Plans.
