Water voles involve two surveys visits, one in Spring and another in Late Summer/Autumn. Surveys will be designed to avoid periods of dense vegetation growth and high-water levels. 

 

In some cases, surveys may benefit by having a part of the survey undertaken by Kayak or boat, to improve access and visibility along waterways.  Here at Tom Haley Ecology, we are able to provide staff members trained in Kayak safety to ensure surveys can be carried out which achieve optimal levels of access without jeopardising safety.
